eat your heart out thursday - yum! yum! china
as a follow up on the post about tempe marketplace, yum! yum! china was fantastic. it had the same set up and pricing of panda express, but with a larger selection of food and without the panda taste. you know what i'm talking about - there is that odd after taste associated with eating at panda express. yum! yum! china does not have any odd after taste. this could probably be because it is run by actual chinese people, but you know. i ate chow mien, beijing beef, and eggplant with garlic sauce. amazing!!! husband even liked the eggplant dish and he cringes every time i suggest we have anything to do with eggplant. husband had orange chicken (of course) and mongolian something (i can't really remember). he really enjoyed his meal as well. a word should be said about the employees there - they were so nice! they noticed when we were leaving and wished us a good day and when i told them i really enjoyed the food they were very appreciative of the praise. if you are ever in the mood for chinese food and are willing to settle for panda express, stop yourself and head on over to tempe marketplace to get yourself some yum! yum! china. it is located in the food court-like area near harkins theater.

Sounds like its worth the drive. I was informed by a coworker that one should NOT eat at panda express. Not cool, cause I liked it. I guess his wife went to school with a guy that works there and he cautioned against it. But I never did get a reason why, but I can imagine.
I've always been a safe eater (my family still gives me a hard time for always ordering hamburgers at Rosita’s Mexican restaurant when I was younger). So if I find myself in a daring mood food wise I'll definitely check Yum! Yum! China!
