eat your heart out thursday - pot pie

hope all of you have are having a great day. i'm thankful for such a nice holiday that provides a good excuse to get together with family and eat such yummy food!

i was inspired by a sale at the local grocery store to try my hand at making a pot pie. it was an adventure. i used used this recipe as a guide, but made a few alterations. it was tasty, but it took a long time to make. it took 2+ hours from start to finish. next time i will for sure make sure i start this dinner well in advance.

my changes:
fresh chicken chunks for canned chicken
1/2 tsp garlic for sage+rosemary
homemade pie crust for store bought refrigerated pie crust

the crust was a pain to roll out which resulted in an eye-sore. maybe next time.

**this could easily be made with thanksgiving left overs.**
