found through image searchthis is the worst movie i have ever seen start to finish. i have to mention the start to finish part because husband isn't quite sure it is worse than city of ember, but i fortunately missed watching most of it. it started out creepy creepy creepy and basically continued that way throughout the whole film until the end. i'm not one who likes to spoiling endings, but since i am assuming you will not waste you life on this one, this one ends with the two little kids being taken away by creepy alien-like people who turn out to be angels to another planet to start it anew playing the roles of adam and eve while every person on earth (including the kids parents) burn up by a massive sun flare. sound stupid? it totally was. while watching it i was worried i was going to have nightmares about creepy "whispering people" hanging around outside my home sending subliminal messages to baby, but in the end i was basically laughing at the ridiculousness of the whole thing. i'm actually really embarrassed that we rented it, but even more so that we watched it all the way through.

We rented this several weeks ago, and were totally disappointed. We didn't expect to be so dark and creepy, but instead thought it could be an suspenseful/adventure movie, and the whole ending?---totally lame! We figured that if they took all the creepy stuff out of the movie, including the guys/aliens who are watching the kids, etc, and that if Nicholas Cage figured out what the numbers meant, and then was able to find a way to stop the world from burning up, then it could have been a good movie..... what do you think?
Funny because as I'm thinking of this movie..I just think RIDICULOUS, and the little word that comes up that I have to type in the box to leave my comment was RICKLESS or something reminding me of RIDICULOUS!
I was just going to blog about what I learned from this movie and how it has changed my perspective on life... Ok. That is a total lie. I never saw it. I never will now... Thanks for the heads up. I dont have extra time to waste. If I didn't I wouldn't wanna spend it on a stupid movie. :)
One of the few parts of the movie that happened pretty much how I hoped it would was when the paranoid, hysterical woman character got rubbed out by that semi in the intersection, five seconds after I said that she needed to "drive off a bridge or something."
Also, I think City of Ember was made worse by Anthony's crying baby in the same room, though I'm pretty sure I won't see it again no matter what, anyway. The movie, that is, not the baby.
