i was in charge of sunday dinner this past week since my
bro was still in the hospital and my parents were taking shifts staying with him. i asked dad what style of food he wanted and he said oriental. at first i thought about the army of meals-in-a-box that i stocked up on during a sale. the problem was that most were kung pao chicken kits and mom prefers to avoid this dish. i then thought about tempura veggies, and then about going to sunflower market where i buy tempura batter mix. and then about their amazing price on pork chops and, of course, produce. so i went there to buy stuff for dinner. and it was there that i discovered pineapple teriyaki sauce and it's marinating powers. dinner was amazing.

p.s. brother is out of the hospital. thanks for all the prayers on his behalf. and my parents should be canonized for staying with him all that time.
