Mesa Farmer's Market

A few weeks ago, the Boy and I made a quick trip to check out the little farmer's market that Mesa has to offer. There were few consumers there, so I was given more attention by the merchants than made me comfortable. But! I did find some fine produce while there.

perfectly adequate pepperjack cheese

delicious yellow tomatoes

fantastic heirloom grape tomatoes

Have you ever had yellow tomatoes? I hadn't until the vendor let me eat an entire one -apple style- just to taste test. My mouth was happy for the entire day. The last purchase started my week long love affair with hierloom tomatoes for lunch and dinner. Seriously, every afternoon and night included hierloom tomatoes. Stay tuned for recipes. The Boy and I have not been back to the market since, but mostly because it is still too hot outside to make it a Friday tradition.

I love the yellow grape tomatoes. Mmm. I brought the large ones home one day and Dan was just too scared off by their yellow-ness.
