Bonus Points
Today I discovered my work posted on my photo professor's blog. Two(!) of my photos were listed under her favorites from the semester. I am honored.

As A Reminder
And because my posts have been so sporadic, I would like to say again that I have a tumblr for a semester long assignment. There is an everyday picture from my everyday life. It is incredible what a little grade incentive can do to keep me honest in this project - I haven't missed a day yet. Please check it out and let me know what you think.

B&W
The latest installment to my photo assignments started off extremely stressful. The only guidelines were that the photos had to be black and white. I really had to focus on what it is that I'm attracted to... it took awhile to define that... Turns out it boils down to discarded/abandoned/neglected junk. Not only am I attracted to that stuff, but I like to give it life. I took portraits of junk for this assignment. And I am very proud how it turned out - so much so that I'm posting here before I submit the assignment to class this evening. Enjoy!

These are my desaturated extra credit selects. Remember to vote today!

And That's the Way It Is, Bub
For the second photo assignment, the class was asked to take portraits and landscapes. I enjoyed taking the portraits, but the landscapes served to be quite the un-enchanting focus. Here are my final selects.

Special shout out to my aunt for allowing me to follow her around for quite a few hours while perusing various Goodwills. I really enjoyed the experience.
